There is a moment early on in Ghost of Tsushima wherein the protagonist and player character, Jin Sakai, emerges – on horseback – from a forest into a vast field of the tall flowery grass that grows all over the island. The music swells dramatically and it’s at that exact moment that the title card for the game appears. It’s a stunning moment, one that captures the majesty and breathtaking beauty of Tsushima, the relentlessness of Jin Sakai, and the overwhelming vastness of his journey. It’s a standout moment in a game chock- full of jaw-dropping sequences like it. It helps pull the player in and set the tone of the entire game. It’s a masterclass in video game design, as is the entire game.
I could write an entire essay about how amazing this game is, but the short version is: buy it. Play it with headphones on. Play it the way you want to play it at the speed and difficulty you’re comfortable playing.
It’s a crowning achievement, and if it weren’t for such strong competition from other big-budget titles I think more people would know how amazing it is and it would be more well-awarded than it has been. Loved it when I played it on PS4 so much that when I upgraded to a PS5 I bought it again. Hope that helps you decide whether or not to buy this game.

Everything about this game was perfect. The story was captivating, the graphics were stunningly beautiful, the music was perfect to set the mood. If this game were a movie it would easily win best cinematography and Best Picture. The open world play is endlessly entertaining, the customization of armor and weapons, as well as, weapons and skills upgrades made this game so fun. The cinematic cut scenes were phenomenal. It is the best game I’ve ever played.

This is the best action game I’ve ever played. The storyline and graphics are outstanding. I didn’t immediately grasp the use of the grappling hook and bow. It was very frustrating but once I got the weapons down, it was tremendously fun for hours upon hours. Nature, animals, haiku, onsen, weapons, battle and Samurai! It’s got everything.

The game is so cinematic and immersive. I only have a few hours in right now but it’s exactly what I was hoping for so far.

I love the characters, atmosphere and everything. I can be an awesome assassin or a samurai killing machine. The only complaint I have about anything in this game is most of the scabbards and sheathes are just plain weird looking

It has no guns but does have ranged weaponry so it’s not all sling blade, some call it kieser knifing I call it sling blading. Very intricate sword play that can make a fight a smash mouth or a chest match.

An incredible game that manages to fit such beautiful visuals with a large chunk of gory fights. Unlike most open world games there is no mini map to guide you, only the guiding wind ( I will admit it was an adjustment). Seriously though a massive congratulations to the team behind Ghost of Tsushima. I highly recommend getting this game and it absolutely has replay value without having to go through tedious tutorial missions.

The Ghost of Tsushima is an epic beautifully designed open world game that anyone who loves to game would truly appreciate

For me it’s one of the first combat games that has actually shocked me at how detailed , diverse and realistic it is.

The reaction of the controller, sounds , crystal elements on screen and even the timing of the haptics breathes so much life into the game’s already such vibrant atmosphere.

The adventure and personal back story is well thought out . It’s a gripping mission with a large amount of land to explore. It doesn’t fall into the obvious and predictable structure either. You can find some unique places whilst galloping around and that makes it all the more real to the user experience.

As for the combat system, it’s very well designed. When Defeating your enemies there’s actual skill involved and you feel that accomplishment! It’s not over easy like some games can be.

The clash of steel feels satisfying and with the vast selection of stance moves it’s an enjoyable tense moment to immerse yourself in.

I can only recommend this game and provide a high review! For me it delivers what I believe to be one of the greatest combat games.

So – On a mission of Samurai Vengeance while seeing the stunning scenery of Japan ?

That for me is gaming fun!
