Chris –
It only includes 10 of Taito’s games and felt lackluster, but could be better. I only wish it had around the same amount of games that the Taito Classics Vol. 1 & 2 had for the PS2. I got this on sale for $20, but it feels like it should be $15. I can’t really justify the $40 price tag for just 10 games, now if it was around 30+, it might be worth it.

These games were old before the original NES console was released. You should be ashamed for selling them for $40.

If you’ve been around the eShop for any length of time, you’ve likely heard of Arcade Archives. They’re Hamster Corporation’s emulated arcade games. They all have good emulation and a basic set of features: the options present in the arcade game, online leaderboards, customizable controls, a manual to tell you how to play, a set of display options, and that’s about it. No real frills, or modern additions such as Rewind, but all of the basic stuff you’d want is there.
That being said: Taito Milestones is a collection of ten Arcade Archives titles, all in one package. They normally sell for eight bucks each and almost never go on sale, so if you look at it that way, it’s a bargain…assuming that you wanted all of these games. The games themselves are 10 of Taito’s earliest games. Some of them have a learning curve, but thankfully you do get instructions for all of them. Many of them are quite difficult; you will find that most scores on the leaderboards are fairly low. But if you truly enjoy video games from the early 1980s, you will most certainly find yourself enjoying most of these.
Not all of them have aged well (looking at you, NinjaWarriors), and none of them are so spectacular that they’ll wind up on your top 20 (or even 50) of all time, but there is fun to be had here, if you’re willing to give these games a try. I don’t regret my purchase one bit.

I am tired of these empty compilations. I remember when Taito had 2 compilation discs back on the PS2. Those were LOADED with games! Now companies put out these empty collections at maximum price. Stay away unless you really like any of the games in this collection.

If you are a retro gamer like myself, you will really enjoy this collection. Though to be honest, most of these games are kind of obscure, barring Qix. They could have added any of the Space Invaders games, New Zealand Story, Bubble Bobble and some other more well known titles (Rainbow Islands, Cadash, Darius!) and this would have been a slam dunk. Still, I like the old games like Front Line and Elevator Action. Maybe there’s another Taito collection in the works? I recall a really nice PS2 collection that had a ton of Taito arcade games and I think that is more in line with what people are expecting.

For the right price it has a few games worth playing
Proplayer –
Excellent compilation from one of the oldest and best video game developers.
Please purchase if you are a fan of retro titles from this particular game developer.

Great collection of games 50% off can’t beat the price.
