Christine –
I can’t praise this game enough. I never played the original game before, so I started with this one. I usually love beautiful games, rather than boss fighting, so I was initially attracted to this game based on the reviews praising how beautiful it is.
After playing it for almost two months, I just completed the story today, it was such a wonderful adventure for me. I watched the Ending Credits made with personalized cutscenes from those moments I had with the 8 travelers, how unique and thoughtful it is! It was a touching and warm-hearted ending, which made me almost cry. I don’t want to end the journey either, well said.
I like the storylines of each character, I even start liking the boss fighting part which turns out to be quite tactical, especially the flight with Galdera was pretty challenging but made me better at utilizing each character’s talent and the job system.
I am so glad I picked this game up, I hope the next sequel is coming soon! Thanks for those who made this game, especially during a tough time I am having!

The game itself is a solid 5 stars. Amazing music, voice acting, story, writing etc.
However the graphics limitations due to it being a Switch game brings it down to 4 stars, as it is severely limited vs the PC version.
This game has a free ‘3 hour’ demo in the EShop – I strongly recommend trying it out there first to see if you’ll like it. This demo is also available on Steam, so if you also game on PC, its best to try it out both places to see which platform works best for you. The graphics fidelity & framerate on PC is a VERY noticeable improvement. However – for my personal usage, I was able to get over that as this game works very well in handheld mode and in cases where you can only play for a few minutes at a time.

Even better than the first one. Totally worth the price.

I really enjoy this game and all of the stories that are told and intertwined. The only complaint I have about the game is it can be harder to level up all of your characters at once. You’ll have some at extremely high levels and others that are quite a bit lower. It man then be challenging to move the lower level characters to their next story sections. But otherwise I love it.

I’ve been a long time RPG player and collector since my first RPG of Pokemon Red back in the day. It has been a very long time since I’ve been overwhelming impressed with a new RPG. The 1st hit the mark…
The music, the battle mechanics, the voice acting, the story line, the boss battles… And the HD 2D graphics are so fun and beautiful.
The second game does not disappoint and in fact, I found myself loving all of the characters by the end.
In my personal life, I’m a banker so Partitio’s storyline really got me…
Highly recommend to anyone who played the 1st and loved it. You will love this one just as much. Took me 100 hours to beat…and I took my time to savor it 🙂

Very good game, additional content on top of the formula of the first game.

I got this after seeing how excited everyone was. I hadn’t played the first one, and that’s totally fine because this game is completely self contained. I had no issues understanding anything and the stories were completely within this game. I did go back and buy it lll the first one play after this one because I loved this one so much.
As a woman, I wanted to play with my main character as a female protagonist. Sometimes I find that hard to do in games because female roles are relegated to background roles like healers or mages or just some “sexy” support role. This game (and the first) have actually viable female leads. They have interesting stories, backgrounds, powerful moves and abilities. I actually had a hard time choosing a main character to focus on, all the male and female characters are EXCELLENT. The beauty of this game is it is somewhat linear but no 2 playthroughs will be exactly the same.
The combat is so much fun. It’s a turn based jrpg but it isn’t nearly as boring as it sounds.
The graphics are stunning. You might think 2D sounds low quality or have the idea that pixel art couldn’t be immersive… and you’d be wrong. The game is just gorgeous visually. I’m blown away by what they were able to do with 2D pixel art. This is taking the 2D turn based pixel art games from our previous youth and turning them up to 11 and seeing them in ways we never thought possible.
Amazing game. I haven’t played the first one but I’ve only heard that this one is better. Even if you haven’t played the first and you want to try this, please do. You won’t regret it. I wish I could rate it higher. I haven’t completed it yet but I don’t need to in order to know that I love it.

RPG no estilo clássico 16bit, que merece ser jogado. Se você gostou do primeiro gostará desse. Se não jogou o primeiro pode jogar esse sem medo que não perde nada.

Much better game overall from the first here are a couple of my takeaways: Combat system is everything the old one had, but with a few extra improvements most notably each traveler has “latent powers” that are exclusive to each one, you’ll be introduced to each one of these on the first act of each of their stories and it makes party building with the same job system from the first game far more interesting.
Boss fights are of course what sets this series apart from other rpgs and it doesn’t disappoint, there are some very memorable, funny, and challenging fights.
Lastly and probably the biggest improvement is the story, the biggest problem with the last game imo was each of the stories were pretty forgettable and honestly just plain boring. This time each of the stories have a lot more substance to them something a bit more than “this guys likes reading books, so he’s the spell casting scholar” or “this guy is a nice and kind guy so he just heals people”. I won’t spoil anything but each character is fleshed out more. Also, each of the boss fights and the way the play out are often tied together with the story to make a truly unforgettable experience.
If you even remotely like jrpgs get this now, it’s essential.

Fantástico! Um dos melhores JRPGs que já joguei (e joguei vários)! Terminei e já comecei outra vez! O primeiro é excelente, mas o 2 excede expectativas! Vale cada centavo e cada minuto..!
