ended up getting it from amazon.com with no issues a month or 2 ago.
i am glad i bought the complete DLC package last year before i even owned a xbox one.
the game runs very smooth & i like the differences between this & forza motorsport 7.

I’m so completely fed up with Forza 6 don’t even know if I can stand to play it any more. I skipped 5 because reviews said it was a horrible rush job. So Turn 10 had a couple years to get their crap together and they released this joke of a racing sim. I’ve played them all and 6 is absolutely stupid. I just don’t know what else can be said about it. This game just sucks in every way possible. It’s like the team got together and dropped half of the design goals in favor of larger tracks and higher-poly cars.
Where did all the tech go? Customizing cars is what Forza excelled at. Now there’s no wrenching involved. You can upgrade various parts to “Street” or “Race”, and it doesn’t even tell you what the stock parts are. Is that a 5.0, 4.6, 1.8TT? No idea! Because it doesn’t tell you. Just a generic speed rating.
Drivatar AI is so stupid it’s almost unplayable solo in career mode. Out of 23 cars, the bottom 12 will just try to ram you off the track while the top 12 will speed up or slow down %-wise regardless of the cars’ capabilities (such as top speed, which is ignored). This is supposed to be semi-pro/pro racing, and half the cars ram right into the player!? And Turn 10 thought that was a good idea? AS if that’s how pro racing works? What is this, Daytona USA, circa 1995?
Forza 4 was far superior to this sub-par game in EVERY way possible. From the car upgrades to the car SELECTION to the AI, this is a downgrade. Besides larger scale tracks with dust and night and rain, the graphics aren’t far enough beyond 4 to accept the dumbing-down of the game to this low level.
The worst offense of all was when I finally got around to buying a ’65 Mustang GT for a muscle car event, and drove it, and it sounded like a Hemi Cuda. In fact, ALL of the “muscle cars” sound exactly like a Hemi Cuda, 425 hp. The 65 Mustang GT had a 260 V8 (though you would never know this from inside your garage–it’s an “engine”?) and put down about 200 hp. It did not sound like a Mopar stump-pulling beast. So, as far as I can tell, Turn 10 skipped individual audio for each car. In Forza 4, the cars sounded correct to their make, model, and year, with tweaks if you add forced induction. A 2005 Ford GT sounded exactly right. A Mustang sounded exactly right. In 6, the Ford GT sounds like every other “supercar”, just like a Lambo or Ducati or Ferrari.
I literally would rather play 4 again than to waste any more of my time with 6. I’m just so disappointed!

I use this game with the Thrustmaster TX racing wheel and pedals. The flow of the game through career mode is great. You can still manually configure cars very specifically in your garage, and tune/adjust the car as well prior to a race which is great. The selection of road courses is good as well. The many variations of artificial intelligence in opposing drivers is the best in the series so far, and the various difficulty/training aids you can toggle prior to each race is superb. The integration with the steering wheel is also very good. The only negative I have found is it has become clear why races aren’t held in the rain. This game has racing in the rain, and where water pools on the track, the track is unusable in turns. Probably accurate with reality, but since races are cancelled in the “real world” during rain, with a simulation racing series and trying to be true to reality, why force us to race in the rain when its not reality? You can adjust and turn it down a notch, adjust your racing line, and still do well, but it isn’t true to realistic racing. The different special events and unique races are all great as well. Well worth the money with this game, and no in game purchases required.

MS 5 was first one I tried and while not an expert on the series, can say I really like this version better. Upgraded to the Thrustmaster TX wheel and that in itself changes everything. Awesome game with that wheel. And I have the wheel stand. This and Project Cars are my go-to racing games, along with F1 2015. Project Cars is a whole other thing with it’s depth of options and diversity of tracks. I love the simplicity of MS 6 in terms of set-up for the wheel, and general game play, especially the force feedback. When I want to just jump into a game quickly, I pull this one out. When I want to spend more time fine tuning the force feedback for each car, Project Cars. I also like to use the rewind to learn and perfect, which is missing from Project Cars.
Interesting contrast in how I play compared to Project Cars. With MS6, I drive much better when I use the front bumper view. Whereas with Project Cars I do just as well with the in car and in helmet (which is amazing) views, as with the front bumper. Must be something with the game..course then again could just be that I need to spend more time in the in car view. Great game. Get it if you are wavering.

Having only ever played Forza 4, when I got my hands on this, I was very impressed. First off, the game looks amazing! It’s sleek and very colorful. The sounds are terrific and I love playing it at a louder volume. Another plus for me is the amount of options available to you. You got your standard game difficulty with the normal options of changing whether or not you want automatic, manual, clutch, suggested line, assisted braking, etc. However, I love the bonuses that increasing the difficulty can give you, and the modification system is a really cool way to customize your vehicle or get a boost in your race. The car selection is almost impossible to look through completely, so choose wisely. Finally, as is typical with Forza, the vehicle performance is strikingly real. When I hit my first puddle at over 100mph, I paid the price, big time.
There are very few cons I can think of. You can still take advantage of the AI, but I’m assuming that’s something that cannot be helped. Players will always find a way to use the AI to their benefit am I right 😛
All in all, if you like racing games, I highly recommend Forza 6, especially if there’s a sale or deal to go along with it.
